Veterans can shop for savings at their local commissary this holiday season.

In January 2020, Veterans with a 0% or more disability rating became eligible to shop at defense commissaries worldwide. The commissary benefit is a huge money saver and can be a vital resource for Veterans and their families.

Preparing for the holiday season can bring added stress. To alleviate that stress, we’re inviting you to come home to holiday savings at Your Commissary.

Enjoy savings for the season

During December, the Defense Commissary Agency is collaborating with its industry partners so you can come home to holiday savings on products that could help make your season merry and bright! We encourage you to check our website, our sales flyer and with Your Commissary locally to learn more about the details and effective dates of these promotions where you shop.

For example, a turkey is traditionally the centerpiece of the any holiday feast, so it’s important to snag the best quality turkey at the best price while you can. That’s why we’re offering select brands of whole-body frozen turkeys at commissaries worldwide for 48¢ per pound through December 31, while supplies last.

Your commissary makes meal prep magical

Sit down and take a break. While you’re working hard on the rest of the meal, let us lend a helping hand so you can serve some delicious appetizers.

You can order meat and cheese platters through Your Commissary’s deli manager in the store, or online through Commissary CLICK2GO. Fresh fruit and vegetable trays are also available for order by calling Your Commissary’s produce department or contacting the produce manager in the store.

Special orders for special occasions

Commissaries worldwide are offering special orders through December 31  to help you get the festive ingredients you need to make your favorite holiday dishes. Depending on your commissary’s availability, you may place special orders in the following departments: grocery, deli/bakery, sushi, meat & seafood, produce or specialty shops.

You can fill out the special order form to get started, but plan ahead to allow Santa’s sleigh enough time to arrive with the products on your wish list. We also encourage you to check with your store regarding specific product availability, especially at overseas locations where some restrictions may apply.

Give the gift of groceries

One of the things that makes giving the gift of groceries so special is that anyone is allowed to buy a commissary gift card as a gift, but only our authorized customers may use them. Plus, you’re helping others in the military community create holiday memories they will never forget.
